Legal help that works for real people.

Legal Advisor was built on a simple idea: the legal system should work for everyone, not just those who can afford it. We act for individuals and families across England and Wales who need someone genuinely in their corner.

Malone & White Solicitors Ltd, trading as Legal Advisor, was founded with a single purpose: to give ordinary people access to the same quality of legal representation that was previously the preserve of those who could afford it. From housing disrepair to car finance claims, every case we take on is someone's home, health or money on the line.

Our story

Built to make legal help accessible.

Legal Advisor grew out of a recognition that too many people were walking away from legitimate legal claims — not because they lacked a case, but because the process felt too complicated, too expensive, or too intimidating to start.

We set out to change that. Plain English from the first call. Honest advice about whether a claim is worth pursuing. A no win, no fee model that means the people who need us most are never priced out before they start.

Today we act for clients across England and Wales in housing disrepair, industrial deafness, car finance commission, tenancy deposit, criminal injury, civil disputes and criminal defence — and we bring the same straightforward approach to every case.

Our Purpose

To make legal help genuinely accessible — so that the people who need it most are not the ones who go without it.

Our Vision

To be the most trusted consumer legal service in England and Wales — the first place individuals and families turn when they need someone on their side.

Our values

The standards we hold ourselves to on every case, every call, every day.

01

Transparency

  • We say what we mean — fees confirmed in writing before any work begins.
  • Honest advice, even when it's not what you want to hear.
  • If a claim isn't worth pursuing, we tell you before you commit to anything.

In practice: every client receives a written fee agreement before we open their case. No exceptions, no surprises later.

02

Expertise

  • We specialise rather than generalise — every service is handled by people with deep experience in it.
  • We don't take on work we're not equipped to do well.
  • We stay at the front of the law as it changes, so our clients don't have to.

In practice: our housing disrepair team tracks Awaab's Law in real time, because the deadlines it imposes on landlords directly shape what we can claim.

03

Results

  • We measure ourselves by what clients walk away with, not by activity or volume.
  • We only take on cases we believe in — and we pursue them with full commitment.
  • We don't settle for less than the client is owed because it's the easier path.

In practice: we review every redress offer against the applicable methodology and challenge it where the calculation falls short.

04

People First

  • Behind every case is a person dealing with something difficult — a damp home, damaged hearing, money taken unfairly.
  • Accessible, jargon-free communication isn't optional. It's the baseline.
  • We treat every client the way we'd want a family member treated.

In practice: every client gets a named point of contact and plain-English updates at every stage — not a case number and a hold queue.

How it works

Three steps. No surprises.

Every case works the same way, so you always know where you stand and what comes next.

01

Free, honest assessment

Tell us what happened. We'll tell you straight whether you have a case, what it's likely worth, and what the process looks like. If the claim isn't there, we say so now rather than waste your time.

No obligation
02

We handle the hard part

Evidence, expert reports, dealing with the other side, court filings when needed — we take care of all of it. You get clear, jargon-free updates at every stage so you're never left wondering.

End to end
03

You only pay if we win

No win, no fee means no financial risk to you. Our fee is a percentage of your compensation, agreed in writing before we start. If the claim doesn't succeed, you owe us nothing.

No upfront cost

Our role as a regulated firm goes beyond winning cases. It means ensuring that every client is treated with integrity, that every process meets the highest professional standards, and that the people we work with can place genuine trust in how we operate. That commitment to accountability is what makes everything else we do possible.

You have real protections as our client.

Being SRA-regulated isn't just a badge — it means you have formal rights, a complaints process, and a regulator you can go to if things go wrong. We think that matters, and we're transparent about it.

As a client of an SRA-regulated firm you have the right to complain to us first, and then to the Legal Ombudsman if you remain unsatisfied — all at no cost to you. Our fee arrangements are confirmed in writing before any work begins.
